BASSIST, artist, young prodigy!
Jazz and fusion filled Gabriel's ears like a baby. The moment he was shown a Jaco Pastorius video at the age of 2, he was hooked. His first experience of learning to groove with a band came at the age of 7. He joined a young Motown tribute band that gained widespread recognition in his region, performing at community events, concerts, music festivals, on radio and television. While learning Motown classics, he challenged himself to transcribe jazz and bass fusion solos. At the age of 11, Gabriel recorded a video featuring Jaco's challenging bass solo in the «Weather Report» tune, «Havona». This video and many others showcasing Gabriel's diverse skills and musicality attracted international attention and set his professional career in motion. He became the first Markbass Rising Star, joined the Ernie Ball Music Man family of artists, developed a custom line of bass strings made by Carlos Pavicich in France, and recently became the godfather of Stega Paul Lairat frégée bass. He is also an artist behind several other companies, including Singular Sound, Advanced and Soundbrenner...
